Keniston update – 16.07.21

Posted on the 16th July 2021

You will be aware that from Monday 19th July, the Government are lifting most Covid restrictions in England, but considering the Delta variant infection rate is continuing to rise, our priority is to keep residents and staff safe.

Therefore, Keniston would like to confirm that we will still be following the current guidelines on mask wearing and social distancing after that date. Our operations in the main won’t change from what we have been doing. We will still provide a full landlord service, with staff splitting their time between home and office.

We are not ready to open the office to visitors, but in the future will operate an appointment only service. We will update you when this is possible. We are pleased to report that we are not aware of any transmission between Keniston staff and residents, and we want to keep it that way.

If we need to conduct any home visits, inspections or repairs, our staff and contractors will require residents to wear a mask and observe social distancing. We will ask before we enter the home whether anyone in the property is self-isolating, positive for Covid or symptomatic as we may need to cancel the appointment or take extra precautions.

We are making some changes at our sheltered schemes, including beginning to open our communal lounges and these will be communicated to residents shortly.

Keniston will monitor the ongoing situation and keep you updated when any further changes are to be implemented.

Thank you for your cooperation.
