With the World Cup now upon us, we know many residents will be looking forward to watching the matches and supporting their teams.
Some matches are scheduled late at night or in the early hours of the morning, and we recognise this is an exciting time for many. At the same time, we’re mindful that not everyone follows football, and some residents may have young children, work commitments, or simply prefer a quieter environment, so we’re asking everyone to help strike a balance so that all residents can enjoy this period comfortably.

Whilst we recognise this is a national event that many people enjoy, it does not override residents’ responsibility to avoid causing nuisance. Tenancy conditions relating to noise and anti-social behaviour remain in place at all times. If disturbances are persistent or cannot be resolved informally, residents can contact us for support. Alternatively, local authority environmental health teams can provide advice and take action where noise amounts to a statutory nuisance.
A little consideration and understanding on both sides can go a long way.
