Equalities
At Keniston, we believe that treating everybody fairly is of the utmost importance.

There are many ways in which discrimination can take place. It is important that services are delivered fairly in every respect at Keniston.  However in housing, dealing with race equality is of particular importance.  Our regulator, the Tenant Services Authority, has a particular focus on this area and keeps the performance of housing associations under review.

Keniston’s Equality and Diversity Policy spells out how we intend to ensure fair treatment in the organisation.  If you would like a copy of this policy please email a request to us via the “contact us” page.

We have a Racial Harassment policy which sets out how we respond to reports of this kind of crime.

We monitor the ethnic breakdown of our new tenants, existing tenants, staff and management committee as we believe that these should broadly reflect the ethnic make up of the localities where our properties are.

We also have an annual strategy where we set out particular initiatives or tasks to improve in the area of equalities.

If you have any comments about the way we do things in terms of fair treatment, please email Nevil Osborne, Chief Executive, in the first instance - nevilosborne@kenistonha.co.uk
