Community Involvement

We are very proud of the Community Involvement Project. Keniston funds a full time worker to be engaged with community and Youth work at the Darrick Wood estate.

One of the key aims of the project is to equip residents with the skills they need to run local services and facilities for residents. The Community Centre is currently a temporary building much in need of replacement. The project is concentrating developing plans for a new purpose designed permanent building.

After several rounds of consultation, the plans will soon be ready for submission to the local authority for planning permission. Once planning approval has been achieved, fundraising will start in earnest.
