Consultation

At Keniston we like to think we consult residents on a wide variety of issues. We regularly review the way we listen to our residents.

A recent initiative involves setting up a panel of tenants for a one off meeting to discuss a particular matter of concern. We invite tenants who we know have something to say about the subject we have chosen so that we get a lively debate and useful feedback. The first of these sessions looked at the way that Keniston deals with anti social behaviour.

Apart from developing new ways to consult, we have some other more usual methods that continue. These include:

Residents� meetings. We hold these about twice a year at each estate or location of our properties. These are open meetings where any resident can come and raise any issue.
Please feel free to come to these meetings - we would like you to tell us what you think. People often use these meetings to discuss security problems or nuisance.

Surveys. We carry out a number of surveys in different circumstances. The biggest of these, where all tenants are invited to take part, is carried out every three years, usually by an independent research company. The next of these is due in 2008.

We also conduct estate based consultations about service charge and estate issues.

Also every time we order a repair to your property we ask you to tell us how it was carried out.

Tenants Associations. Oddly we do not have any formal Tenants Associations on our estates. We would be pleased to encourage the formation of such groups.
